Basic transmission

The transmission, which is fitted as standard on children's bikes, often has a reduced speed range. It is also sensitive to derailment during jolts.

The freewheel is generally in 14 (small pinion for speed), 28 (large pinion for ascent), ie a ratio of 200%.
